Announcing the same in a post on X, Fortnite Status said “Galactic Battle Awaits! Downtime for v35.00 begins at 2 AM ET with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand”.
What Fortnite server down means for players
The downtime is basically a maintenance period, during which players attempting to access the game will encounter a "servers not responding" message. Epic Games has not specified the exact duration of the downtime, but such maintenance typically lasts between four to five hours. Players are advised to download the latest patch and await further updates on server status.
