Singer and music composer Mika Singh has opened up once again about his nightmarish experience as a producer of the 2020 web series ‘Dangerous’, which starred real-life couple Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover.

“Ek omelette ke peeche pura shoot ruk gaya”

Talking to Shubhankar Mishra on his podcast, Mika recalled a bizarre incident that left him frustrated—the shoot was stalled for over three hours because Bipasha Basu wanted an omelette.

“Ek omelette ke peeche pura shoot ruk gaya,” Mika exclaimed, adding that the actress complained about the quality of food and refused to shoot until her breakfast demands were met. “I get a call at 11 AM saying, ‘This is such rubbish production.’ I asked what happened and she said, ‘Omelette’. I had already sent my chef to handle such issues, and then too we lost three hours over it,” he said.

Mika also recalled how things worsened when Karan Singh Grover suffered a leg injury during a simple stunt. “He could’ve gotten treated in India but insisted on going to London. He stayed there for three months, while I sat here with all the production expenses piling up,” Mika said.

Mika is disappointed by the couple’s attitude - You should never disrespect opportunities

Without holding a grudge, Mika expressed disappointment in the couple’s attitude. “You should never disrespect opportunities. You don’t know what’ll happen tomorrow. Producers deserve respect, not to be treated like servants,” he concluded.

“Akshay Kumar told me the truth”

The singer-producer described the experience as “dangerous”—not just as a pun on the series title but also as a showing how disillusioned he became with the production process. He admitted he went into the project thinking producers hold power in the industry, but came out wiser. “Akshay Kumar told me the truth—producers only call actors to the set and inform them the shot is ready. That’s it,” Mika remarked.

Meanwhile, ‘Dangerous’ marked Mika Singh’s debut as a producer.
