Chatra: A seven-year-old child died when the two-wheeler he was riding was hit by an overcrowded mini bus in the Pratappur block of Chatra district on Friday. His mother and maternal grandfather, who were also on the motorcycle, suffered grave injuries. Several passengers in the vehicle were hurt when it plunged off a bridge and toppled over.
According to Pratappur police, the incident occurred near a hotel on the Pratappur-Jori main road when the speeding passenger vehicle hit the motorcycle and then fell 20 feet from the bridge and overturned.
Local residents and police assisted in transporting the injured to the community health centre. The deceased was identified as Prameet Kumar, son of Pramod Dangi from Tikar village.
