In a major step toward aligning the Department of Posts with India’s growing digital economy and rising service expectations, the Annual Business Meet 2025–26 was held in New Delhi under the leadership of Union Minister of Communications and DoNER, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia. This high-level forum united Circle Heads from across the nation, marking a key milestone in India Post’s journey of business transformation.
The event was inaugurated by Ms. Vandita Kaul, Secretary (Posts), who delivered a forward-looking address highlighting India Post’s achievements over the past year. She emphasized the importance of sustained innovation, inclusive growth, and organizational transformation, urging the department to evolve into a “modern, agile, and citizen-centric service institution.”
One of the major milestones of the meet was the launch of Dak Samvaad, a new monthly e-newsletter. Designed to strengthen internal communication and knowledge sharing, this platform will feature innovations, insights, and inspirational stories from the ground—stories that capture the grit, ingenuity, and community trust that define India Post.
“Dak Samvaad is more than a newsletter—it’s our mirror and our voice,” said Shri Scindia. “It celebrates the beating heart of India Post—the people, the ideas, and the silent revolutions happening every day across the nation.”
Throughout the conference, Circle Heads presented detailed insights into their performance metrics, innovative practices, challenges, and future plans. These presentations offered a comprehensive snapshot of regional dynamics and grassroots efforts driving business growth and public service alignment.
Shri Scindia, after attentively listening to each presentation, recognized India Post’s pivotal contribution to national progress—especially in bridging rural gaps, advancing financial inclusion, and expanding digital access. “India Post is more than a logistics network—it’s a lifeline,” he stated. “It reaches where others can’t and serves where others won’t,” highlighting its unmatched role in India’s socio-economic landscape.
Praising the adoption of a corporate-style approach, the Minister called for a sustained focus on measurable outcomes, innovation, and service excellence. He urged leaders to embrace accountability and professionalism as core values, ensuring India Post remains both a robust public utility and a competitive player in the logistics and financial sectors.
In a bold strategic move, Shri Scindia set ambitious growth targets of 20% to 30% for FY 2025–26 across various Circles, based on their strengths in key sectors such as logistics, e-commerce, financial services, and citizen service delivery.
The event also underscored strategic focus areas such as:
- Infrastructure development for better logistics and branch modernization
- Simplified operational processes to improve efficiency and customer experience
- Digital transformation to strengthen delivery systems and financial transactions
- Capacity building and upskilling to enhance human capital and leadership at every level
The Annual Business Meet concluded with a renewed collective resolve to reimagine India Post as a future-ready institution. The department reaffirmed its commitment to balancing commercial sustainability with its core mandate of public service and inclusivity.
As India transitions into a digital-first economy, India Post is poised not only to keep pace but to lead—connecting people, delivering value, and transforming lives at the last mile.
