A rechargeable lamp that shoppers have singled out for its convenience and which they say "looks great wherever you put it" can be added to the home shopping list at a discounted price from Amazon.
Home decorators can grab the JACKYLED Rechargeable Table Lamp for £17.59 down from £21.99 - a 20% discount off the original price. For under £20, shoppers will get a lamp that makers say is "designed for both convenience and flexibility." It has a "clean, minimalist look" so can blend into any decor scheme or colour.
The lamp is rechargeable, portable and cordless, which shoppers have singled out in reviews as being a positive as it can be used anywhere, even in rooms where plug sockets are in short supply. It can be used on a bedside table, dining spaces, patios or even console tables, additionally keeping surfaces tidy and free from tangled cords.
It has added versatility in that the height and lighting can be adjusted to suit different spces and moods, the brand says. The lamp can be set up with one or two rods depending on the height preferred and assembly requires no tools. Lighting options include three colour temperatures - warm white (3000K), neutral white (4000K) and cool white (6500K) - all of which can be dimmed from 10% to 100% using the touch control on top.
According to Amazon, it can deliver eight to 15 hours on a single charge, with a note to add that actual time varies by brightness setting. It is recharged using a USB-C cable, which is included, and could also be ideal of outdoor use, whether for a family gathering or quiet evening in the garden.
Made from durable and lightweight plastic, it is easy to move around the home. Pracital details include a non-slip base to keep the lamp stable and it has flicker-free LED lighting to reduce strain on the eyes.
Another dimmable option is the Keko Rechargeable Touch Dimmable Table Lamp for £20 from Dunelm which comes in olive green, dove grey and black. This lamp has an integrated rechargeable bulb, and the brand says has a run time of six to eight hours and can also be moved freely around the home. Another option is the Lucille Ornate LED Rechargeable Wireless Brass for £35 from DUSK which features a warm brass finish, a cream shade and is completley wireless and rechargeable via USB or Type-C connection.
The JACKYLED lamp has a 4.8 out of 5 star rating on Amazon. One person said as part of a much longer review: "I got this lamp to use in the guest bedroom where there isn't a convenient plug socket. It's rechargeable so can be used anywhere. The charging port, USB C, is located just under the top. I was surprised by how good it is. It came in a smallish box and I my expectations were low, but it's actually a nice lamp." Another buyer said: "I recently bought the JACKYLED Rechargeable LED Table Lamp, and it's exceeded my expectations! The sleek and minimal design fits perfectly with my decor, and the touch dimming feature is incredibly convenient - no fumbling for switches in the dark."
A third person said:"I really like this little lamp. I am going to purchase another 2 pack of them to use as bedside table lamps, or just very portable lights with their own power. I think that these should be great for outdoor use or even camping.
It has 3 modes, warm, cool, and a blend of the 2. It provides a good amount of light from below, and a more subtle light from above. The base and the shade are metal, and the underside where the light shines from is a kind of matte white plastic that diffuses the LED light array. The height of the lamp is semi-adjustable. You can choose to either use one or two of the vertical poles. Battery life seems very good so far. Recommended."
Feedback from customers included one person commenting as part of their review on switching modes. They said: "The only thing I find a bit irritating is that you have to cycle through all the modes to turn it off, it takes three presses on the top. Although the base has a foam pad it is not really thick enough to stop the edges resting on the surface, so you might want to attach some of those little self-adhesive feet if that bothers you. It can be a bit wobbly as it's a little top heavy, but it's fairy stable. I love the gold colour. It is not as bright as a plug in lamp would be, and most of the light is directed downwards (although the top is illuminated so you can see the button). The button is touch sensitive." Another noted: "A rechargeable, easy to put together, usb led lamp. No bulbs required. To be honest, it's probably useful for camping or in a caravan, but not as useful in the home, unless you don't have many plug sockets. In a blackout though, that's when it'll come into a lot of use. The touch sensitive top is responsive, and it has 3 different light intensity settings. It does take a while to recharge, but lasts quite a while after. Light enough to carry around. So if you gave need of a lamp you can carry around, or use for emergencies maybe, this is worth considering."
