If you're looking for a binge-worthy TV show to watch this September, there's one you can't miss out on. This series will be coming to Prime Video on September 10 and it's one which fans can't wait to watch.
The Girlfriend, directed by Robin Wright, who also stars in the show, is a slow-burn psychological thriller that twists maternal instincts into a web of suspicion. Based on the novel by Michelle Frances, the series follows a devoted mother who doubts the identity and intentions of her son's seemingly perfect partner.

As her mistrust escalates, the carefully constructed facade begins to crack. The show features themes of manipulation, obsession, and greed in a glossy yet unsettling package. Grazia says if you like "smart thrillers", this should be your next "binge watch".
The cast of The Girlfriend includes Robin Wright as Laura. The 59-year-old actress is renowned for her roles in Forrest Gump and House of Cards.
Olivia Cooke portrays Cherry. The 31-year-old star is recognised for her role as Alicent Hightower in House of the Dragon, as well as Emma Decody in the thriller Bates Motel.
Laurie Davidson plays Daniel. The 33-year-old actor is known for his portrayal of a young William Shakespeare in the 2017 TNT television series Will, and Mr Mistoffelees in Cats, based on Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical.

Waleed Zuaiter portrays Laura's spouse Howard, with the 54-year-old performer serving as producer and co-star of Omar, which received an Oscar nomination at the 86th Academy Awards.
Tanya Moodie appears as Laura's closest friend Isabella, and the 53-year-old performer is recognised for her parts in Motherland and Silo.
Shalom Brune-Franklin takes on the role of Isabella's daughter Brigitte, with the actress having recently appeared in Prime Video's The Assassin.
Additional cast members include Karen Henthorn as Cherry's mother Tracey and Anna Chancellor as Lilith, one of Laura's intimate friends.
There will be a total of six episodes which will all be available to watch in one go. The series is recommended for fans of Behind Her Eyes, a popular Netflix mini series.
