Piers Morgan didn't hold back as he took a savage swipe at Prince Harry after his £1.1million donation to Children in Need. The money, which comes from his own funds rather than from the Archewell foundation, is aimed at tackling violence against young people - but TalkTV star Piers has slammed it as a "charm offensive".
Taking to X this week, the former Good Morning Britain presenter wrote: "Prince Harry giving £1.1million to charity on his UK 'charm offensive' is a comically crude attempt to buy back British people's support. But ironically it won't work because he's spent years being so offensive about the Royal Family."
He doubled down on his comments in a response to a Sky News report titled "what we have learnt from Harry's trip to the UK", tweeting: "Nobody gives a sh**."
Harry has stated: "The incredible work being done by grassroots organisations like CRS and Epic Partners is not only inspiring - it's essential.
"We're grateful for the support of BBC Children In Need in helping changemakers in the city continue their mission to create safe spaces, build trust, and offer hope and belonging to young people who need it most."
He made a rare UK visit this week, laying a wreath at Queen Elizabeth II's grave to mark the anniversary of his grandmother's death. Harry also attended a WellChild charity awards ceremony as a patron, and headed to Nottingham's Community Recording Studio to speak to young people at the charity.
His wife Meghan Markle has remained in the US to take care of their children, Archie and Lilibet. Meanwhile, Harry hopes to see his father King Charles during his UK visit - but it is understood he doesn't know whether this will go ahead or not.
