Man Utd set to unleash next starboy vs Brentford as Ruben Amorim makes plan clear

Ruben Amorim has already overseen three academy graduates since becoming Manchester United's head coach in November, and a fourth is on the horizon. Chido Obi, Harry Amass and Tyler Fredricson have made their senior debuts under the Portuguese tactician's watch, becoming the 252nd, 253rd and 254th fixtures in a prestigious list.

On Sunday, United travel to Brentford but are already condemned to a record-low Premier League finish as they rot in 14th with four games remaining. All eyes are firmly focused on Thursday's Europa League semi-final second leg against Athletic Club, with Amorim's side 90 minutes away from the final. The Red Devils boast a healthy 3-0 lead from the first leg in Bilbao but won't consider the job done until full-time at Old Trafford.

Amorim has already indicated that he will shuffle his pack at the Gtech Community Stadium this weekend to avoid injuries and fatigue.

After the final whistle in Bilbao, the United boss claimed: "We need to be really careful with our players against Brentford. Noussair Mazraoui is dead, Patrick Dorgu is tired - we have to manage the players."

Mazraoui was later ruled out of the trip to London, meaning he will miss his first Premier League match since joining United from Bayern Munich last summer.

The £17million signing has featured in all 34 league games this term. However, with Diogo Dalot set to miss the rest of the season, Amorim won't risk him against Brentford.

That leaves a void at right-wing-back. Dorgu has operated there in Dalot's absence, but he also appears in line for a rest this weekend.

Enter, Jaydan Kamason. The 18-year-old has been making headlines in United's youth system and has been knocking on the door for first-team football for weeks.

Kamason has registered eight goal contributions across his Under-21 and Under-18 appearances this season despite playing as a right-back in a back four.

He has the makings of an effective wing-back in Amorim's 3-4-3 system, and a debut is imminent, having been a substitute in both Europa League quarter-final legs against Lyon and against Athletic last time out.

United stayed in Bilbao overnight and trained as a group on Friday, which is why ineligible duo Sekou Kone and Chido Obi travelled.

Talented winger Bendito Mantato was also part of the squad and is another wide player potentially in the frame to make his senior bow before the end of the season.

But Kamason appears to be first in line to replace Mazraoui and could feature in what should be a heavily rotated team on Sunday.

Amass and Fredricson are also primed to make their latest appearances, while Obi could start for the first time if Rasmus Hojlund also drops out.
