Liverpool are ramping up their transfer plans ahead of what could be a memorable day in the club's history, if they get a couple of deals over the line. The Reds have already spent close to £300million on Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giovanni Leoni and Armin Pecsi.
But their business is not done there and the long-running Alexander Isak saga is set to come to an end today. He is pushing to leave Newcastle for Anfield in a £130m deal and his hopes were boosted with the club-record purchase of Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade.
Liverpool could close as many as four deals today, with the clock ticking ahead of the 7pm deadline...
Alexander Isak
Newcastle, all summer, have maintained that Isak can leave if their two conditions are met. A mega fee in the range of £130m must be received and the club need to have signed two new strikers as replacements.
Woltemade has already arrived and the Magpies are trying to sign both Yoane Wissa and Jorgen Strand Larsen.
If another forward goes through the door at St James' Park and Liverpool can stump up the cash, this British-record deal could be completed very quickly.
Federico Chiesa
If Isak is to join, another forward such as Federico Chiesa could depart. The Italian has been called upon off the bench in each of Liverpool's three games this season so far, but has been linked with a move back to Serie A.
Arne Slot has reiterated his desire to keep Chiesa on Merseyside, but another strong attacking option pushes Chiesa down the pecking order and he could revisit the possibility of leaving today.

Marc Guehi
Marc Guehi played, captained and scored for Crystal Palace in their Sunday night victory over Aston Villa, despite being the subject of a £35m bid from Liverpool.
Ibrahima Konate suffering an injury and being forced off against Arsenal will only highlight the lack of depth, while there are concerns that the Frenchman may leave for Real Madrid next summer on a free transfer.
Palace boss Oliver Glasner has made it clear that he does not want to sell Guehi, even though he, too, has just a year left on his contract, but chairman Steve Parish may see the situation in a different light.
Joe Gomez
If a defender such as Guehi joins Liverpool, then one player may head in the opposite direction.
Joe Gomez has struggled to nail down a starting role under Slot but was brought on for Konate in the 1-0 win over Arsenal.
However, if Virgil van Dijk, Konate, Guehi and Leoni are all at the club, Gomez's prospects would be limited and he could seek to leave for pastures new.
