Actor Lawrence Robb has played Mackenzie Boyd for half a decade on Emmerdale, and he's been at the centre of some dramatic storylines since arriving in the Yorkshire Dales. However, he will reportedly be killed in the coming weeks, with murderer John Sugden (played by Oliver Farnworth) said to strike again.
A report claims Mackenzie is next to lose his life on the ITV soap, but Emmerdale has not commented on the allegation. It claimed Mackenzie will get closer to learning the truth about villain John and will "ultimately lose his life in dark and tense episodes". The news comes after it was teased that "life-changing" scenes were set to unfold this September for Mackenzie and his friend Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), John's husband.

The report also stated that Mackenzie actor Lawrence's final scenes have already been filmed.
It follows his wife Charity Dingle's (Emma Atkins) shock kiss with her ex Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), which unfolded on Thursday's hour-long instalment of the ITV soap. Charity has been going through a tough time on the ITV soap and doesn't feel Mackenzie has been supporting her enough.
Will Charity leave Mackenzie for Vanessa? Could she lean on Vanessa if her husband is killed, as the report suggests?
According to The Sun, the scenes involving Mackenzie's demise will be "harrowing" as he meets a grizzly end.
The source told the publication: "Mackenzie has been in so many scrapes and dangerous positions, but this time it looks like he's bitten off more than he can chew. Viewers will be on the edge of their seats watching what happens."
It's also been alleged that Mackenzie will find something out about John, leading to the killer deciding to silence the Scotsman.
Mackenzie has been tracking evil John for months, which led the villain to frame him for the slurry leak on Home Farm. Viewers knew John was behind Nate Robinson's (Jurell Carter) and Aiden Moore's (Geoff Dignan) deaths, but residents seem unaware.
Express.co.uk has contacted Emmerdale for further comment.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
