During tonight's episode of Emmerdale, Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) turned to the bottle to battle his demons following his return to Yorkshire in the midst of his grieving. In one part of the show, the village hardman came across Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley), whom he holds a grudge against following the murder of his son, Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter). While Nate was killed by Aaron's evil husband, John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), Cain couldn't help but put some of the blame on the pair. A drunken Cain confronted them outside Mill Cottage after trying to track John down in France, saying: "So you've moved back in? I hate this place. Knowing he was here, happy getting away with it... I lost my son because you were waiting for this idiot to come back."
Following Cain's emotional outburst, one fan theorised on X that a fire would soon break out. They wrote: "Cain's comment about the Mill makes me think they are going to burn down the Mill again. It would give Aaron a reason to move in with Robert at Keepers when Isobel goes on maternity leave."
Someone else said: "They could leave it as a burnt-out shell for a while again. I think Eric's house is empty. Caleb and Rudy could move there." A third added: "Do ITV have the budget for a big fire and would they rebuild the Mill after?"
Elsewhere, fans were left shocked to learn that boys at school want to have sexual intercourse with Clemmie Reed (Mabel Addison). Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) had to break the distressing news to Clemmie's mother, Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), while the youngster was fetching something from the local shop.
However, Clemmie was desperate to know what they were speaking about when she saw the pair talking after purchasing her items. It comes after an indecent image of Clemmie was shared online.
Later, Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler), who is Carl Holliday's (Charlie Munro Joyce) mother, was left raging after Laural Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) admitted she was the person who reported the incident to the school after the image ended up on her son's phone.
Fans will recall that Clemmie sent an image of herself to Carl, which he distributed to others.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
