are reportedly interested in signing star this summer. is expected to orchestrate a major rebuild of his ranks over the coming months, with reinforcements being eyed in several departments.
Bringing in a new second-choice goalkeeper as well as an alternative option in midfield to replace Jorginho is among the Gunners' priorities, though a spending spree is in the pipeline to address Arsenal's lack of depth in the final third.
Signing a striker remains central to Arteta's summer transfer plans and Newcastle star is high on the shortlist of options at the Emirates Stadium, along with Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko.
However, Isak is not the only star being considered by Arsenal it appears. According to the iPaper, the Gunners are interested in signing winger Gordon as well.
The England international is valued at £80million by the Magpies after penning a bumper contract extension until 2030 late last year. But the new deal hasn't deterred suitors, with Chelsea also interested in acquiring his services.
The Blues looked into signing Gordon from Everton before he joined Newcastle in 2022, but a deal didn't materialise after the Toffees stood firm in negotiations for the forward - prompting the Blues to head elsewhere. Just a matter of months, Gordon headed to St James' Park for £45m.
If Arsenal act quickly, they could look to steal a march on by striking a deal for their target sooner rather than later - leaving their London rivals rueing a missed opportunity to sign the 24-year-old again.
Arteta has spoken about how he expects the Gunners to splash the cash on signings this summer, stressing that there is a significant budget available if the deals are available. He said: "The budget is like when you have your wedding: you plan your wedding with your wife and you give her a budget and it's never less, it's always more.
"When you build a house, it's always more. Normally this happens. You prepare for different scenarios. Then unfortunate things happen. There are so many variables that can happen but there is a budget. There is always an idea of what we can do, what we can improve, what the priorities are going to be and then let's see if we can do it."
