Upon receiving information about the blast, several senior officials, including the SSP and CO, arrived at the scene and initiated a rescue operation.
Five people, including three children, diedThe debris is being removed with the help of a JCB. During the investigation at the scene, police found an exploded cylinder and a cooker. District Hospital EMO Ashish Pathak said that five people were brought to the hospital after the incident. All five were found dead, with burns on their bodies. The deceased include three children and two other people.
According to reports, Ramkumar alias Parasnath, a resident of Pagla Bhari village in the Kalandar police station area, was living in a house he had built outside the village. His house collapsed with a loud explosion on Thursday night. Hearing the sound, people from the neighborhood rushed to the scene and informed the local police station. Considering the seriousness of the situation, SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover, SP City Chakrapani Tripathi, and CO Ayodhya also arrived with the police team.
Blast due to gas cylinder leak!According to sources, the cause of the explosion is believed to be a cylinder blast. An LPG gas cylinder leaked, causing a massive explosion. The leak is also being suspected because police found an exploded cylinder at the scene.
A large police force is present in Pagla Bhari village. Nearby houses are also being evacuated. SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover is on the scene and is rapidly overseeing the rescue operation. There is still a possibility that some people may be trapped under the debris. Police say their focus is currently on rescuing those trapped under the debris. Five people, including three children, were taken to the hospital, but doctors declared them dead. Purakalandar police station in-charge Sanjeev Singh confirmed the accident.
