The Indian Industries Association (IIA) held its 310th Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting at IIA Bhawan in Lucknow on Friday, marking the first such session of 2025-26. The meeting brought together more than 100 officials from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Delhi to deliberate on the roadmap for promoting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Key topics discussed included ease of doing business, technology upgradation, business expansion, skill development, and exports. Participants shared their experiences and discussed future plans and strategies for the sector.
IIA has submitted written suggestions to the state and central governments, including the CEO of Invest UP, Vijay Kiran Anand, IAS. Discussions focused on simplifying departmental procedures for businesses, to be reflected in the upcoming Nivesh Mitra 3.0 platform. IIA also raised concerns related to labour laws in a meeting with Principal Secretary (Labour), Dr. M.K. Shanmuga Sundaram, IAS, alongside senior officials from PF and ESI departments.
Future initiatives announced include awareness programs on using Google and Microsoft utilities, and AI adoption for industrial development.
The association also plans industrial exhibitions such as Build India Expo, Defense and Engineering Goods Expo, India Food Expo, and more in the current session.
The 34th Annual General Meeting of IIA will be held on August 8 at Hotel Ramada, Lucknow.
