The IPL is resuming from May 17 after the dispute between India and Pakistan ended. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians have taken a big decision. According to the report, Mumbai will include Jonny Bairstow in their team in place of Will Jacks. Jack's was signed by MI for Rs 5.25 crore in the mega auction last year. He has returned to India, but he will have to return to his country due to international duty.

According to a report by ESPN Cricinfo, the Mumbai team is preparing to bring Jonny Bairstow. England wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow, who has previously played in the IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings, is all set to replace Will Jacks in the Mumbai Indians for the last phase of IPL 2025.
Bairstow has played a total of 50 matches in the IPL and has managed to score 1589 runs with the help of two centuries and nine half-centuries. If the Mumbai Indians sign him in the coming days, Bairstow will be seen playing as an opener or number 3 batsman. His inclusion in the team will also help Mumbai Indians to fill Ryan Rickleton's place in the playing XI.

Like Bairstow, Rickleton is also a top-order wicketkeeper-batsman. He was included in South Africa's WTC 2025 final squad on Tuesday and will not be available for the IPL 2025 playoffs. Mumbai Indians' next match will be against Delhi Capitals on May 21. MI's team has currently played 12 matches, in which they have won 7 matches.
