According to the latest reports, 'The Final Reckoning', said to be the last film in the MI franchise, will make its digital debut on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. The purchase price is set at USD 19.99, while rentals will be available for around USD 14.99.

Box office collectionsDespite good reviews and an extensive global promotional campaign, the film’s box office performance has raised questions about the future of the franchise. The movie reportedly has grossed an estimated $595 million worldwide. Although an impressive number for most films releasing in 2025, the numbers don't meet the mark as the film reportedly had a production budget of $400 million. The film's low box office performance has triggered speculation that it could just mark the end of the franchise.

About the film'The Final Reckoning' follows Ethan Hunt and his team on a daring mission to stop Gabriel and the dangerous AI program known as The Entity, which threatens global destruction.

Launched in 1996 with the first film based on the classic 1960s TV series, the 'Mission: Impossible' franchise has since grown into one of Hollywood’s most successful action sagas, producing eight films over 29 years.
