Despite viral claims on social media, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is not expected to release the Class 10 and Class 12 results tomorrow.
According to multiple media reports, a senior CBSE official has stated that the board has not yet finalised a date for the results and no official announcement has been made regarding the declaration of results on May 2.
Students and parents are being advised to avoid misinformation and rely only on updates from official websites, cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in, for any result-related announcements.
What past trends suggest
Based on previous years, media reports say that CBSE usually releases the board exam results around the second week of May. For example, in 2024, the results were declared on May 13, and a similar timeline is being anticipated this year.
However, several reports have pointed out that any news suggesting the results will be out on May 2 or earlier is false and not based on official information.
Number of students appeared
As per reports, more than 44 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board exams in 2025 — including around 24.12 lakh for Class 10 and 17.88 lakh for Class 12. Results for both classes are expected to be released on the same day, though this has not been confirmed by the board.
How to check results once declared
Once the results are announced, students will be able to check and download their provisional marksheets online. To do so, they will need their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth.
The original marksheets will be made available through respective schools at a later date.
