Private lender Kotak Mahindra Bank on Saturday reported its March quarter results for the financial year 2025, posting a 14% YoY dip in its standalone profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 3,551.74 crore. However, the net interest income (NII) grew by 4.5% YoY to Rs 7,283.57 crore.
The net profit for the corresponding quarter of the last financial year stood at Rs 4,133.3 crore. The net profit as well as the NII are below the ET Now poll.
Meanwhile, the bank’s total income grew 6.8% year-on-year to Rs 3,182.46 crore and the total expenditure was up by 14.4% YoY to Rs 11,240.03 crore.
Along with the Q4FY25 results, the bank’s board has also recommended a dividend of Rs 2.50 per share for its shareholders.
Kotak Mahindra Bank’s Net Interest Margin (NIM) was 4.96% for FY25 and 4.97% for Q4FY25. The average total deposits of the bank surged to Rs 4,68,486 crore for Q4FY25 compared to Rs 4,08,321 crore for Q4FY24, up by 15% YoY. Average total deposits for FY25 grew at 16% YoY.
CASA ratio as at March 31, 2025, stood at 43.0%, while the Credit to Deposit ratio as at March 31, 2025, stood at 85.5%. The Capital Adequacy Ratio of the bank was 22.2%.
On the asset quality front, the bank’s gross non-performing assets (GNPA) were 1.42% and the net non-performing assets (NNPA) were 0.31% (compared to a GNPA of 1.39% and NNPA of 0.34% at March 31, 2024).
As of March 31, 2025, the provision coverage ratio stood at 78%.
On Friday, the shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank closed 0.95% lower at Rs 2,185 on the BSE.
