The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a significant change in the process regarding the results for Class 10th and 12th students. In a recent notification, the board revealed an important update about the post-result activities. Starting in 2025, students will now be able to view a photocopy of their answer sheets before applying for re-evaluation or rechecking. This new rule will offer students a better chance to verify their marks and check for any mistakes.
Changes in the Process (CBSE Important Notice)Under the previous system, students had to apply for marks verification or re-evaluation first, and only then could they access their answer sheets. This caused a delay in checking for errors, as students didn’t know exactly where they had lost marks. However, under the new system, students will receive a photocopy of their answer sheets before rechecking, making it easier to identify discrepancies in their answers.
The new system is aimed at providing greater transparency and ensuring that students can verify their marks with clarity before opting for any further steps. This system is set to be implemented starting 2025, and all schools have already been notified about the changes.
Benefits of the New SystemWith this new approach, students will be able to identify specific areas where they may have lost marks, making it easier to decide whether or not they want to proceed with rechecking or re-evaluation. Additionally, if there is an error in the evaluation, there is a possibility that marks could be increased. However, there is also a chance that marks might be decreased or remain unchanged.
The CBSE has assured that further details regarding this new procedure will be shared through an official notification after the results are declared.
