Five players miss out on Chelsea squad numbers for new season as full 2025/26 list confirmed

Chelsea have confirmed their official squad numbers for the 2025/26 season. Enzo Maresca's side are preparing for a big year at Stamford Bridge as they look to follow up their triumphs in the Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup last term.

The Blues have been rather active in the transfer market this summer after confirming a number of deals to enhance their playing squad. Players such as Liam Delap, Dario Essugo, Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Jorrel Hato and Estevao Willian have all signed on the dotted line in west London to boost Maresca's numbers.

Chelsea aren't done just there, however, as Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons are the players next in line to make the move to the capital. Ahead of the official squad number announcement on Friday morning, Chelsea had in fact already announced numbers for their new signings.

Delap is Chelsea's new No.9, Gittens replaces Noni Madueke as No.11, Dario Essugo is No.14 and Joao Pedro is No.20. New signing Hato inherits the No.21 jersey off Ben Chilwell, while Estevao takes on No.41 after his move from Brazilian side Palmeiras.

Chilwell is one of five current Blues players not to be handed a squad number for the new season. Axel Disasi, who finished last season on loan at Aston Villa, was previously No.2 but has not been included on the official list issued by the club.

The same goes for Raheem Sterling and Renato Veiga amid potential moves away from Stamford Bridge for the duo. Mykhailo Mudryk, who in June was charged by the Football Association with anti-doping violations, also does not have a squad number as Cole Palmer took on his No.10 shirt ahead of the Club World Cup.

Here are Chelsea's squad numbers for the 2025/26 campaign:
